Qatar, Italy sign defence agreement for securing 2022 FIFA World Cup

Qatar's Ministry of Defence and Italy's Ministry of Defence signed joint technical arrangements on defense cooperation ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.

The signing ceremony was held in the Italian capital Rome today, September 6, 2022.

The Qatari side was represented by HE Major General (Pilot) Mohammed Abdullatif Al Mannai, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the World Cup, while the Italian side was represented by HE Major General Achille Fernando Cosania, Commander of the Operations Department of the Italian Air Force.

This comes within the framework of joint cooperation for securing the 2022 FIFA World Cup between the Qatari Ministry of Defence and the ministries of defence of the countries participating in securing the football tournament.
