Qatar has strongly condemned the attack that targeted a water-lifting station east of the Suez Canal in Egypt, which led to the killing of 11 soldiers, including an officer, and injuring five others. In a statement Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar's firm position on rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of the motives and reasons. It expressed Qatar's condolences to the families of the victims and to the government and people of Egypt, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
