Qatar Airways to Relocate Operations to Manohar International Airport in North Goa, India

Doha, Qatar: Qatar Airways has unveiled plans to shift its operations to the newly established Manohar International Airport (GOX) located in North Goa district, India, starting June 20, 2024, replacing its current operations at Dabolim Airport (GOI) in South Goa. The airline will maintain its existing schedule, offering daily direct flights serviced by a combination of Airbus 320 and Boeing 787 aircraft.

Joining other carriers like IndiGo and Oman Air at GOX, Qatar Airways anticipates an elevated passenger experience owing to the airport's modern infrastructure and convenient access to hotels and public transportation. This transition underscores Qatar Airways' enduring commitment to Goa since its inaugural flights to the region in 2009, promising travelers across its network of over 170 destinations an enhanced journey.

The architectural design of GOX embodies the vibrant essence of Goan culture, blending contemporary and traditional elements. With cargo facilities boasting a handling capacity of 25,000 metric tonnes, GOX aims to emerge as a pivotal export hub in the area.

Presently, Qatar Airways serves 13 destinations in India, including Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Calicut, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, and Thiruvananthapuram.
