Qatar Airways recently previewed its new TV commercial campaign highlighting the airline’s sponsorship of the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019 taking place in France next month.
The preview was held during a Suhoor organized by the national carrier for the local media at the Mondrian Hotel Doha.
The TV commercial scheduled to launch globally next week expresses the “tremendous excitement” generated in the run-up to the most thrilling moment yet in women’s sports, set to take place in France from June 7 to July 7.
Qatar Airways senior vice-president (marketing and corporate communications) Salam al-Shawa said: “We were delighted to welcome so many members of Doha’s vibrant media industry to join us at this special Suhoor in celebration of the holy month of Ramadan.
“We were especially pleased to be able to provide a sneak preview of our new TVC highlighting our sponsorship of the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019.
“This innovative new campaign will officially launch next week, and we could not be more excited to kick-off the tournament with this captivating TVC, which is sure to generate massive interest among football fans around the world.”
The event was hosted by Qatar Airways Group chief executive HE Akbar al-Baker, and was attended by airline’s senior leadership.
Qatar Airways was named “World’s Best Business Class” by the 2018 World Airline Awards, managed by international air transport rating organization Skytrax.
It was also named “Best Business Class Seat”, “Best Airline in the Middle East”, and “World’s Best First Class Airline Lounge”.
Qatar Airways operates a modern fleet of over 250 aircraft via its hub, Hamad International Airport, to more than 160 destinations worldwide.
The airline will add a number of new destinations to its extensive route network this year, including Izmir in Turkey; Rabat in Morocco; Malta; Davao in the Philippines; Lisbon in Portugal; Mogadishu in Somalia; and Langkawi in Malaysia.
