Qatar Airways Group celebrates Qatar National Day 2021

Qatar Airways Group has celebrated Qatar National Day 2021 with a host of planned activities both on the ground and in the air. The national carrier operated a Boeing 777 aircraft with 2022 FIFA World Cup livery flying above the Doha Corniche as a special service Saturday.

The airline also organised an internal event at its headquarters on December 16 to celebrate the annual occasion with its employees, showcasing the country’s culture and customs to promote loyalty, solidarity, unity, and pride in the national identity of Qatar.

Visitors had the opportunity to discover more about Qatar through a cultural showcase and a variety of traditional activities, sampling Qatari delicacies prepared by local entrepreneurs in a majlis setting.

HE Qatar Airways Group chief executive Akbar al-Baker, said: “On this special occasion, we extend our heartiest congratulations and greetings to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdulla bin Hamad al-Thani, and to all the people of Qatar.

“We are delighted to mark Qatar National Day, a special occasion that allows us to celebrate as one nation.
