Qatar airports set new parking charges, restrict curbside access from Nov 1

Doha: Hamad International Airport (HIA) and Doha International Airport (DIA) on Monday announced that curbside access will be restricted starting from November 1 onwards.

"This is to preserve the security, safety and comfort of all passengers and visitors during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and to ensure smooth operations," a joint press release from the airports said.

According to the release, access to arrival and departure curbsides will be accessible to authorised vehicles only, which are Mowasalat’s limousines and taxis, authorised vehicles for persons with reduced mobility, vehicles transporting Qatar Airways First and Business Class passengers and select airport bus shuttles.

Private vehicles will only be able to drop off and pick up passengers at the airport car park both at HIA and DIA.

The following car park charges will apply.
HIA Short Term Car Park: QAR 25 for a maximum period of 30 minutes. QAR 100 for every 15 minutes thereafter.

HIA Long Term Car Park: QAR 25 for a maximum period of 60 minutes. QAR 100 for every 15 minutes thereafter. Complimentary shuttle busses available from car park to HIA terminal.

DIA Arrivals Car Park: QAR 25 for a maximum period of 30 minutes. QAR 100 for every 15 minutes thereafter.

HIA offers passengers a wide variety of transport options that seamlessly connect the airport and the city. The HIA bus pavilion, the HIA taxi pavilions, the metro stations, car parks, car rental and limousine services are all conveniently located within walking distance from the airport’s arrivals and departures hall. As always, HIA and DIA staff will be available to assist passengers round the clock.
