Doha: Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani visited the Surgical Specialty Center of Hamad Medical Corporation on Thursday morning.
The Prime Minister went to check on the health of a Qatari citizen who underwent a successful first lung transplant in the State of Qatar in June. The Prime Minister also met the medical team that performed the surgery.
During the visit, His Excellency congratulated the medical team that carried out the operation that included surgeons, doctors and medical assistant technicians. His Excellency praised and expressed appreciation for their efforts and expertise in conducting one of the most complex operations, wishing them well and further success in their careers. His Excellency also wished the Qatari citizen a full recovery.
The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior was accompanied by the Minister of Public Health, H E Dr. Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari, and a number of senior officials at Hamad Medical Corporation.
