PM chairs first meeting of Cabinet after reshuffling

Doha: Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani chaired the Cabinet’s regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan yesterday.

At the outset of the meeting, H E the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior welcomed their Excellencies the new ministers and congratulated them on the precious trust H H the Amir gave them, wishing them success in performing their duties, and expressing thanks and appreciation to the former ministers for their appreciable effort in the service of the country.

The Prime Minister stressed that the recent amendments reflect the vision of the wise leadership in defining the priorities of the government’s work in the next phase to carry out its duty towards the homeland and the citizen in order to achieve the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.

H E the Prime Minister said in a tweet: “I congratulate the brothers and sisters, the new ministers for this precious Amiri entrust, wishing them success. Our Cabinet today is in harmony with the next stage of our country and contributes to achieving our vital goals in development and enhancing  efficiency and integration of State agencies and ministries. As well as organising their specialisations, rationalises their expenditures and develop their services.”

Following the Cabinet meeting, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Sulaiti issued the statement.
