To celebrate the holy month of Ramadan, United Development Company (UDC), a leading Qatari shareholding company and master developer of The Pearl-Qatar has decorated the island’s several roads, trees, lamp-posts and concrete structures with festive lighting.

Just like every year for Ramadan, The Pearl-Qatar has come alive with festive lighting donning its main entrance gate and boulevard, Piazza Arabia which is the facade of Porto Arabia, in addition to parts of Qanat Quartier and Medina Centrale visible from the main driveways.
Visitors and residents can enjoy the variety of Iftar and Suhoor special menus served at restaurants across the island. They can also shop for Arabic incense, oriental perfumes, groceries, gift baskets, and sweet hampers offered around Porto Arabia and Medina Centrale’s retail outlets.

During the holy month, The Pearl-Qatar’s shopping outlets will be open from 10am to 2pm and from 8pm until midnight.
The three mosques at The Pearl-Qatar have also prepared to welcome the influx of worshippers during Ramadan, including the Grand Mosque at the island’s entrance and the newly inaugurated mosques adjacent to Qatar District Cooling Plant “Qatar Cool” and near “Isola Dana” precinct.
Taraweeh evening prayers will be led by imams appointed by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs. The three mosques combined, have a capacity of 1,800 people with prayer facilities for women on the first floor. On-site parking is available for convenience.

On the 14th day of Ramadan, The Pearl-Qatar is set to celebrate the Garangao tradition, with a host of special activities for children that highlight the rich cultural and religious heritage of Qatar and will further mark the advent of Eid with a festival filled with fun and entertainment.
