Patients can request home delivery of medicines through WhatsApp: PHCC

Doha: The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) announced the continuation of home delivery service of medicines in cooperation with Qatar Post. Patients can communicate with the health centers through WhatsApp number allocated to each health center.

The medicine delivery can be requested by patients contacting the WhatsApp numbers assigned to each health center from Sunday to Thursday (from 8 am to 2 pm and from 4 pm to 10 pm), while the service will not be available during weekend (Friday and Saturday).

The patient can send a WhatsApp text message with the word “hello” to the number of his health center after which the pharmacist will contact the patient as soon as possible, and then the medicines will be delivered home by Qatar Post within two working days for a fee of QR 30 to be paid to Qatar Post employees when delivering medicines.

PHCC explained that the home delivery service aims to reduce patients' visits to health centers to limit the spread of the Corona virus (Covid-19).

Dr Manal Al-Zaidan, Director of the Pharmacy Department at the Primary Health Care Corporation, said that this service is available to everyone, stressing that all the required medicines are available in pharmacies of the Primary Care Corporation in sufficient quantities, and there are no fears of any shortage of any type of medicine.
