The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a partial temporary closure on Al Markhiya Street in one direction from Lekhwair Intersection towards National Library Intersection from today (Friday) dawn for four days. The closure in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic is to complete infrastructure works. Road users coming from Al Markhiya Street and wishing to continue straight can turn left to use Al Taawon Interchange while those coming from Al Taawon Interchange will have to make a U-turn at the next intersection and get to Al Corniche Street to reach their destinations. Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the temporary closure and requested all to follow them and abide by the speed limit to ensure safety.
