Partial six-month closure of bridge on Al Kheesa Interchange

The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced the closure of bridge on Al Kheesa Interchange in one direction from Al Kheesa Roundabout towards Al Shamal Road (Al Kheesa Interchange) from midnight on Friday for six months.

The closure in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic is to allow the completion infrastructure works that are part of the Roads and Infrastructure Project in Al Kharaitiyat and Izghawa (Package 3).

Motorists heading towards Al Kheesa Roundabout and wishing to use the bridge can use Al Kharaitiyat Street to reach Kentucky Roundabout, then turn left onto Suhail bin Nasser Al Attiya Street to reach the Grand Hypermarket Junction Interchange.

In order to continue towards Doha, motorists can use the service road of Al Shamal Road.

Those heading towards Al Ruwais or other Northern area can turn left at Grand Hypermarket Junction and continue on Jassim Bin Mohammed Street and then use Al Kheesa Intersection to reach their destinations.

Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the temporary closure.
