Northwestern wind gives a chill to Qatar residents

Doha: Northwestern wind blowing over the country gave a chill to the residents in Qatar. Today's lowest temperature was recorded in Mesaieed and Turayna where the temperatures touched 11 degrees Celcius while in Doha it reached 14 degrees. Qatar Meteorology Department said that the perceived value is much less because of the continuous northwestern wind. 

In its daily report, the department said that weather inshore until 6 pm on Sunday will be relatively cold daytime with some clouds and slight dust to blowing dust at some places at times, cold by night, warning of strong wind expected over most areas.

Offshore, it will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times with chance of scattered rain maybe thundery at north areas at first, report added, warning of strong wind and high sea, thundery rain at north areas at first.

Wind inshore will be northwesterly 15 to 25 knot with gusting to 30 knot at some places decreases to 10 to 15 knot later.

Offshore, it will be northwesterly 20 to 30 knot, gusting to 40 knot at times.

Visibility will be 4 to 8/3 kilometers or less at places at times.

Sea state inshore will be 2 to 5 feet. Offshore, it will be 6 to 10 feet, rises to 14 feet at times.
