Northwesterly wind to cause slight fall in temperature

Doha: Qatar Meteorology Department expects fresh to strong Northwesterly wind to begin from October 18, Monday which will lead to slight fall in temperatures. 

In a post on its social media, it added that this will continue for several days until the end of next week, with wind speed ranging between 10-20 KT and gust exceeding 30 KT over some areas during daytime hours. 

This wind will lead to blowing dust and decreasing horizontal visibility to less than 2km at times, and sea waves offshore rising to 12 FT in some areas. 

The Northwesterly winds will cause a slight decrease in temperatures, with the maximum during the day ranging between 30-38° C and the minimum at night between 18-29° C in various regions of the country, said the department. 

The Meteorological Department called for caution and to avoid marine activities during the warning period.
