The MoHFW had last week revised its guidelines for international arrivals, including the removal of coronavirus (Covid-19) RT-PCR testing before boarding for fully vaccinated passengers from 82 countries, including Qatar, starting on February 14.
According to the new guidelines, such passengers need to upload their “certificate of full primary vaccination” before the scheduled travel, on the Air Suvidha portal.
Further, the guidelines stipulate that the mandatory seven-day home quarantine is no longer required for international travellers, who will instead have to self-monitor their health for 14 days after arrival.
The need for them to undertake an RT-PCR test on the eighth day is also done away with.
Children under five years of age are exempt from both pre- and post-arrival testing.
