Doha: The Customs Air Cargo and Private Airports Department thwarted an attempt to smuggle forbidden narcotic substance into the country.
Through inspection, the banned Methamphetamine crystals called "Shabo", was found hidden inside a bag of papers.
The total weight of the seized substance was 569 grams.

The authorities have been issuing continuous warnings against carrying illegal substances into the country.
Customs officers are provided with all means of support including the latest devices and continuous training to read the body language of passengers and be aware of the latest methods followed by smugglers.
