Nama Centre takes part in Darb Al Saai event

Nama Centre has said it is participating in Qatar National Day celebrations with a series of activities aimed at supporting small and micro enterprises, as part of the Darb Al Saai event.

The participation comes in the context of “reaffirming loyalty to the homeland, reviving the heritage of the founding fathers and its noble meanings and values”, Nama has said in a press statement.

Nama is one of Qatar Foundation for Social Work’s affiliated centres.

Through its participation in Darb Al Saai, Nama Centre aims to promote the concept of corporate social responsibility in various business sectors. It also seeks to promote projects incubated by the centre and which benefit from its entrepreneurship services, in addition to empowering them to conduct their business activities in a systematic and well thought-out manner, the statement notes.

The products of Nama Centre’s incubated projects currently on display at Darb Al Saai include traditional clothes, perfumes and incense, Arab hospitality products, natural honey, spices, authentic Qatari food and beverages, natural herbs and flowers, gifts and accessories, pottery and artworks, photography, promotional items, custom-printed clothes and others.

Maryam bint Abdullatif al-Mannai, acting executive manager of Nama Centre, said: “In the context of boosting our presence in national events, we are keen to participate actively in Darb Al Saai for the second year in a row. I am delighted to thank the Qatar Cultural and Heritage Events Centre for giving us free promotional spaces at the Souq Waqif pavilion, Al Muqattar pavilion and the Traditional Kitchen pavilion, to empower young Qatari entrepreneurs with productive projects benefiting from the centre’s incubation services, through facilitating the presentation, promotion and selling of their products to the public.”
