Mughal-E-Azam show tickets see brisk sale

There is a “flood of enquiries and reservations” for the upcoming Mughal-E-Azam: The Grand Musical show in Qatar, according to the organisers.

Marking the “grand finale” of the Qatar-India 2019 Year of Culture, and produced by Q-Tickets, Mughal-E-Azam will be staged at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) on December 19 and 20.

A world-class theatrical production from India with seven BroadwayWorld Awards and 175 sold-out shows worldwide, Mughal-E-Azam is expected to draw a large audience in Qatar, the organisers have said in a press statement.

A series of events, including exhibitions, festivals and competitions, have been held through 2019 in Qatar and India to mark the Year of Culture.

The initiative welcomes guests from the two countries to explore their cultural similarities and celebrate the differences, the statement notes.

“To cap off the celebrations, Mughal-E-Azam will be staged in Qatar for the first time. Its previous shows in India, Singapore and Oman were a huge hit. Today, there’s already a flood of enquiries and reservations for the upcoming two-day show in Qatar,” the organisers said.

People of different nationalities are booking tickets to the event, including Qataris and other Arab communities, the statement pointed out, adding that expatriates from the United Kingdom and South Africa, among other countries, will also grace the event.

The Broadway-style musical is directed by Feroz Abbas Khan. A total of 125 Indian talents are coming to showcase live singing and dancing performances and promising acts in lavish stage sets. The characters’ costumes are created by renowned designer Manish Malhotra.

Under the aegis of Qatar National Tourism Council, Mughal-E-Azam “promises to culminate the Qatar-India 2019 Year of Culture with a unique experience for everyone”, the statement added. English and Arabic translation subtitles will be flashed on wide screens so that everyone can enjoy the show.

Tickets can be purchased by visiting q-tickets.com and from offline ticket partners.
