MoPH tells dentists to stop using 'laughing gas' in treating patients

The Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP) at the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has recently released a circular directing all licensed dentists in the private sector and all licensed healthcare facilities in Qatar to immediately end the use of "laughing gas" (Nitrous Oxide) in treating patients.

On its website, the MoPH states that the directive is part of the efforts of the DHP to ensure the efficiency and eligibility of all health practitioners working in the private sector across Qatar.

It also aimed to ensure the safety of patients in a manner that does not conflict with the quality of health services provided, according to the circular.

As per DPH-MoPH, non-compliance with the mandate will lead to legal action against violators.
