Doha, Qatar: Ministry of Public Health clarified in statement the ‘incorrectness’ of what is being circulated through social media about a person falling unconscious while shopping.
The ministry added that the person collapsed due to fatigue, which resulted in a loss of balance and had nothing to do with coronavirus.
In a tweet on its social media account, the MOPH wrote in Arabic that can be roughly translated as, "The Ministry of Public Health confirms the incorrectness of what is being circulated through social media about a shopper falling unconscious as a result of being infected with the coronavirus, and we would like to point out that the shopper suffered a sudden fatigue resulting in a loss of balance while he is in good health condition."
The Ministry urged everyone to avoid spreading rumours and to believe only information that comes through official social media accounts.
