The Ministry of Interior (MoI) will explain the procedures for obtaining a Permanent Residency (PR) card at a press conference in Doha Monday. The press meet, which will deal with the recently issued Permanent Residency Law No 10 of 2018, will be attended by Brigadier Abdullah Salem al-Ali from the Office of HE the Minister of Interior, Brigadier Mohamed Ahmed al-Ateeq, Director-General of Passports; and Brigadier General Salem Saqr al-Muraikhi, director of the Legal Affairs Department.
They will talk about the law, the privileges PR card holders will enjoy, the conditions that must be met by residents ,who are entitled to apply for the card, the application mechanism and other procedures related to the law. Article No 3 of the law stipulates that the MoI shall set up a committee to deal with requests for permanent residency permits in accordance with provisions of the law.
