Doha, Qatar: The Criminal Investigation Department at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) recovered QR71,628 that was stolen from a bank client in Qatar.
The Department received a report regarding the money stolen from a client while inside the bank.

The MoI posted a video showing the culprit grabbing a plastic bag filled with money while the victim was not paying attention to his personal belongings.
Upon reviewing security cameras, the department was able to identify the suspect. And by going through earlier footage, the suspect’s movements were monitored from the moment he left his private residence all the way into the bank until he committed the crime.
After being confronted, the suspect admitted to the accusation against him, and was referred to the Public Prosecution along with the seized items.
The MoI emphasized the importance of protecting personal belongings whether in public or private places.
