MoI adds two new services to Metrash2 app

Two new services, 'Issue Residence Permit' and 'Reactivate Residence Permit', have been added to the Metrash2 mobile application and the Ministry of Interior (MoI)'s e-services portal, the MoI has said.

The ministry said the move is pursuant to the continuous development of its e-services. Through a series of posts on social media, the MoI highlighted the new services and their benefits.

The ‘Issue Residence Permit’ service allows companies and individuals to apply for a Residence Permit (RP) for newcomers on residence visa after completing medical checkup and fingerprint procedures.

An infographic issued by the MoI explains how the new services work.

This service is meant for those who have not obtained an ID/RP in the country previously, the MoI said.

On the other hand, the 'Reactivate Residence Permit’ service allows companies and individuals to apply for reactivation of RP/ID for those who had already obtained a residence permit and ID number in the country.

Applicants should complete the medical checkup and activate their previously recorded fingerprint, the ministry advised.
