Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) has announced the fourth phase of the gradual lifting of restrictions imposed on cleaning and hospitality services, which will come into force from Tuesday, September 1, 2020.

"In line with the previous decisions and measures adopted to preserve the health and safety of Qatar's citizens and residents, and to limit the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19), the following has been decided," the Ministry tweeted. 

1. Allowing workers of cleaning and hospitality service companies into the workplace or home only after checking the health colour code on the Ehteraz app. Only green code holders are allowed in. 

2. Checking the body temperature of workers before providing the service, and to deny entry to individuals whose temperature exceeds 38 degrees Celsius. 

3. Requiring cleaning and hospitality service workers to wear medical masks and gloves for the duration of their time in the workplace or house.

The Ministry also stated that the owners of cleaning and hospitality services companies should comply with the circulars, decisions, and directives related to the epidemic prevention, including:

• Instructions for the gradual re-opening plan, and the timeline announced by the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management.

• Circulars and decisions issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

• Instructions related to the responsibilities of employers to limit the spread of the coronavirus (Covid - 19), and directives for health and safety regulations issued by
the Ministry of Public Health.

• The policies set by the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs on the precautionary measures to prevent and reduce the spread of the epidemic.

"This decision shall take effect from Tuesday, September 1, 2020, and may be subject to amendments and updates according to the latest developments in this regard, and any violation of this decision will subject perpetrators to legal accountability and procedures," the Ministry stated.

The Ministry also highlighted the success of each stage of the comprehensive plan for the gradual lifting of restrictions depends on the adherence of all individuals to the required preventive and precautionary measures.
