Doha: Ministry of Interior in Qatar stated that vehicle number plates with the World Cup logo are a special version auctioned by it and cannot be copied or installed on all vehicles. It warned of action on anyone who copies the World Cup logo on the license plates of vehicles.
In an announcement on 'terms and conditions of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 logo on vehicles number plates' it added that the special number plates with the World Cup logo were auctioned in accordance with specific terms and conditions in coordination with the International Football Association - FIFA, for newly registered vehicles only and for auctioned special number plates only.
It further continued, "And that it is prohibited to copy and install the World Cup logo on the license plates of vehicles. Anyone who violates this will be exposed to legal accountability and referred to the authorities to take legal measures against them."
