Ministry launches awareness campaign on legal professions

The Ministry of Justice has launched an awareness campaign on the legal professions that have been included in the Ministry's recent projects and initiatives, such as expertise, arbitration, real estate brokerage and notary.

The campaign aims at informing the public of the various legal professions and the new services it contains, which will constitute a qualitative addition to the Qatari legal spheres, whether through legal services as well as providing Qatari citizens with new job opportunities within the Ministry of Justice strategy and plan to nationalise legal professions.

The Ministry said in a statement yesterday that the campaign will include advertising legal profession, indicating the means and legal controls for them, and the definition of means of communication with the administrative unit or the legal body responsible for these professions, in addition to the means to identify these professions.

Mohamed Awaidah al-Kuwari, Director of the Ministry's Expertise Department, said that the campaign is an important part of information about the new legal profession, which the Ministry has already started with introductory steps according to the directives of the Minister to inform the public about them and work to attract Qatari legal experts to these professions.

Meanwhile, Norah Hammoud al-Mannai, arbitration official, stressed that this campaign confirms the objective of the Ministry, which is the comprehensive awareness of legal professions related to serving the public, especially the professions created under the new laws prepared by the Ministry including the Qatari Arbitration Law No 2 of 2017.
