Ministry closes four branches of a major food company for violations

Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced closure of four branches of a major company dealing in fruits and vegetables temporarily due to tampering and manipulation of the country of origin and expiry of vegetables and fruits.
The ministry confirmed that the company was found selling damaged products, tampering with expiry dates and weights, not mentioning production and expiry dates on products and selling expired meat.

Lebanese Themar Company - Al-Gharafa
Violation: Tampering with the country of origin of vegetables and fruits - selling spoiled and expired products - tampering with expiry dates
The penalty is one month closure
