Katara to hold National Day celebrations from tomorrow

Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation, Katara, is gearing up for more festive activities to mark Qatar’s National Day on December 18 alongside the already ongoing several events accompanying the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Katara will celebrate the National Day with a series of special performances for two consecutive days which started on December 14 till 15. It will then resume the show from tomorrow until Sunday.

Meanwhile, audiences witnessed impressive performances by the Joint Special Forces and the Qatar Air Sports Committee by the Katara Beach as also the Paratroopers and Paramotor shows. The skies over Katara were also lit in maroon and white in addition to beautiful and harmonious exhibition scenes that have been winning the admiration of the citizens and World Cup fans. 

From today, until Sunday, the Qatari Ardha will hold performances from 3pm to 11pm on the Katara Corniche.

On the occasion, Prof. Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, Katara General Manager extended his warmest congratulations and blessings to H H The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and to the honourable Qatari people and all those who reside on this good land.

He added: “Katara has accompanied the international sporting event with all the colours of cultural, artistic and heritage creativity, because this international event constitutes an exceptional opportunity to present the bright face of authentic Qatari and Arab culture and traditions.”
