Kahramaa, National Service Academy sign cooperation agreement

Doha: The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa), as the first government agency in the State of Qatar, has signed a cooperation agreement with the National Service Academy of the Ministry of Defence, regarding the training of national service recruits.

The agreement aims to enhance the means of cooperation in the common and specific areas to benefit from the services provided by both parties.

The agreement was signed by President of Kahramaa, Eng. Essa bin Hilal Al Kuwari and President of the National Service Academy, H E Staff Major General Saeed bin Hamad Al Nuaimi. 

On this occasion, Eng. Essa bin Hilal Al Kuwari said that Kahramaa is keen to strengthen cooperation with all national authorities and institutions in line with the goals that support the development of society and ensure the country’s need for electricity and water regularly, in order to maintain its water and electrical security in the long term.

He explained that the agreement includes various areas of cooperation between the two parties, which also cover  the exchange of experiences in the fields of training and development. Al Kuwari said that Kahramaa will provide opportunities to train recruited students, employees and members of the National Service Academy, in addition to implementing joint projects and initiatives.

For his part, H E Staff Major General Saeed bin Hamad Al Nuaimi stressed the importance of the cooperation agreement with Kahramaa, according to which it will provide field training to students and employees of the National Service Academy.

He said that Kahramaa will also provide opportunities for training on the drinking water system, electrical and water installations, solar energy technologies and their uses, in addition to related programs and activities.

Al Nuaimi praised the various fields of cooperation with Kahramaa, which reflects the ability of national institutions to present initiatives related to cooperation in the fields of training and exchange of experiences.

He noted that the agreement will enable Qatari cadres to improve their performance and learn about work mechanisms in one of the most important national institutions.

Kahramaa gives the highest priority to the human element, believing in the importance of investing in the development of Qatari cadres according to its goals of seeking to attract and develop qualified employees, and retaining them, and supporting the Qatarisation policy, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
