JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha appoints new Food & Beverage director

JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha has announced the appointment of a new director of Food & Beverage, Christophe Delabarre, who will be overseeing all food and beverage operations.

Delabarre graduated from the Hospitality School in France and started his career behind the stoves and had the chance to work with Michel Bruneau, 2 Michelin-star chef, as an apprentice before realising he wanted to continue his journey in the restaurant and pursued his education in Hotel Management.

He worked with Michelin star-awarded chefs such as Pierre Gagnaire, Masonori Tomikawa and Richard van Oostenbrugge and got inspired by their artistic approaches in the food to create masterpieces.

Delabarre brings his 'Less is more, keep it authentic' philosophy to JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha, defining the hotel’s collection of six unique restaurants and lounges, as well as overseeing in-room dining, banquets and special events, according to a press statement. He is very much into new trends and also believes in cooking recipes in respecting traditions and craftsmanship.

“I was always passionate about food and dining as it’s been in my family blood for three generations. Food is something that brings people together, families and friends together to celebrate; it's the common thread of so many occasions," Delabarre says. “I am honoured to join the strong, talented team here. The diverse culinary options in JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha give our team the option to be as creative and playful as the guest wishes or as traditional as requested. We have it all covered.”

Esra Parin, general manager of JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha, welcomed the new Food & Beverage leader and said: "We are excited to have Christophe on board. We are confident that his extensive knowledge and wealth of experience in the Food & Beverage department as well as his high level of commitment and passion will further grow our team and carry them to new heights."
