The Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation continue to contribute to aiding regional development.

Following its vision of "Health and Education for a Better Life", which is a practical translation of the Qatar National Vision 2030, the Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation formulated its strategy according to sustainable development principles. 

So that the annual report of the Foundation, which was issued at the beginning of this year under the slogan "Empowerment, Building and Development, demonstrated the efforts made by the Foundation at the local and international levels.

The nature of the local initiatives and activities presented by the Foundation in 2022 varied, starting with supporting efforts seeking to improve the educational and health system by building many partnerships with a number of educational and health institutions in the public and private sectors, as well as civil society organisations.

This initiative aims to provide financial and in-kind assistance to many needy groups and families, bringing the total aid to QR19,469,394 in 2022, while the number of beneficiaries reached nearly 20,000.

Building partnerships

In this context, Saeed Muthkar Al Hajri, CEO of Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation, said that the Foundation attaches great importance to internal initiatives and projects and seeks to enhance its presence by building partnerships with various institutions operating in the country with the aim of activating various forms of support for the local community. He said that this under social responsibilities of the Foundation that enhance its vision of "health and education for a better life" which is based on Qatar National Vision 2030.

Al Hajri said that the move focuses on human and societal value of the humanitarian initiatives and projects implemented by the Foundation, which are sustainable due to the fact that they are self-financing, and enshrine in their orientations the principle of social solidarity.

Financial Aid

Al-Hajri added that the local efforts of the Foundation include many areas, foremost of which is providing financial and in-kind support to many needy families in reducing their financial burden.

He said that support over the past year in this aspect amounted to QR8,717,478.  Al Hajri said that the financial and in-kind assistance is an important part of the assistance provided by the Foundation to a number of needy groups, through which it confirms its constant keenness to support this segment of society and support its aspirations for a more stable life.

Health and Education

Since its establishment  in over 21 years ago, the Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation has attached great importance to the health and education sectors on its priority map, believing in the importance of these two sectors in the process of sustainable development led by the wise leadership.

In this context, the Foundation has made many cooperation agreements with medical and educational institutions in the public and private sectors, foremost among which is Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC). 

On the educational level, the Foundation is proud of its strong relationship with many public and private universities, particularly Qatar University, in addition to providing support to many private schools.

The Foundation’s supportive role was represented in paying the medical and tuition fees for needy patients, or supporting the students’ aspirations for a pioneering future.The volume of assistance provided by the Foundation to support these two vital sectors reached QR8,245,366 in 2022.

Unifying Efforts

The Foundation believes in the importance of cooperation and building partnerships with many civil society organizations at the local level, especially those concerned with health and education affairs, as the contributions of the Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation in this field amounted to QR2,506,550.

The Foundation is keen to provide various forms of support to these organisations, on top of them are Qatar Cancer Society, the Qatar Diabetes Association, the Aman Center and Qatar Society for the Rehabilitation of People with Special Needs, and others. 

The move aims at uniting efforts for making participation to keep pace with the comprehensive renaissance that the country is witnessing.
