Doha, Qatar: Ashghal has announced a temporary road closure lasting nine hours on Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor.
The closure will be in effect from the Umm Lekhba Interchange underpass to Thani Bin Jassim Interchange underpass, exclusively in the direction of Hamad International Airport (HIA). However, traffic will continue on the service roads and Thani Bin Jassim Interchange signals.
During this period, the flyover on Umm Lekhba Interchange, leading from Al Shamal to Hamad International Airport, will also be temporarily closed. Ashghal has scheduled the detour to take place on Friday, December 8, 2023, from 1 am to 10 am.
Travellers originating from Al Shamal or Al Markhiya are advised to utilize the Duhail Interchange to access their destinations on Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor, according to Ashghal.
Additionally, motorists heading from Doha to Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor are encouraged to use the Umm Lekhba Interchange as usual, utilizing the service roads along Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor to reach their destinations.
