There will be no school transportation and parents are required to drop their children directly to the examination centre (MES Indian School, Doha) and pick them up from the same place after the examination, according to a press statement by BPS.

"In the interest of your child’s health, please do not use shared services. It is best if the parents can take care their child using their own vehicle," BPS added.

For Grades KG to VIII, all remaining school-based exams are hereby cancelled, the statement adds.

The students’ average marks of previous terms will be considered for record purpose and they will be promoted to the next grade.

In respect of Grade IX students, promotions will be made to the next grade based on their previous term exam marks.

However, those students in Grade IX who are not meeting the passing mark criteria will have to appear for exams after the school reopens.

Birla Public School is also set to start the first virtual classrooms from Grade 6 during the closure period.

On its website, DPS-MIS said the school will remain closed from today for all students, from Grades KG1 to XII, until further notification.
