HMC, QCS sign MoU to support innovative projects

Doha, Qatar: Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support HMC's innovative projects, at a ceremony held in Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City.

The agreement was signed by Chief of Health Facilities Development and Acting Chief of Business Services Hamad Nasser Abdulla Al Khalifa, and HE Chairperson of Qatar Cancer Society Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Jabor Al-Thani, in the presence of several HMC executive leaders and a delegation from QCS.

The MoU aims to provide funding support for cancer control projects, including, but not limited to, patient experience, improving facilities for cancer patients, improving cancer care, and employee participation in the field of cancer control.

On this occasion, Hamad Nasser Abdulla Al Khalifa said that HMC's partnership with QCS will pave the way for their staff to develop more innovative, high-quality, and person-centered projects that benefit their patients and the communities. "At HMC, we stay true to our commitment to building an excellent healthcare system for the State of Qatar," he added.

In turn, Deputy Chief of Quality for Center for Patient Experience and Staff Engagement, Director for Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute, and Chairperson of 16000 Health Sector Services Nasser Al Naimi, said that this collaborative partnership will further strengthen their efforts to deliver their services with a person-centered approach to care, which results to enhancing patients' overall experience in HMC.

HE Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Jabor Al-Thani was delighted to seal this partnership with HMC, adding, "We look forward to implementing activities that serve the mutual goals of both QCS and HMC"
