The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) honored local media organizations for their role in strengthening public health services, at a Suhoor gathering on Saturday.
Gulf Times Editor-in-Chief Faisal Abdulhameed al-Mudahka was felicitated for the newspaper’s support for the ministry’s initiatives across Qatar. Representatives of other media institutions were also felicitated.
Addressing the audience, Ali Abdullah al-Khater, Chair of the Ministry of Public Health’s Healthcare Communications Committee and Chief Communications Officer at HMC, hailed the contribution of the media for the improvement of the health sector in Qatar.
The ministry and health institutions in Qatar are indebted to the media as they help us discharge our duties to the public, he said. “They actively take part in the initiatives of the government,” Al-Khater said.
“They are active in spreading the messages propounded by the ministry and raising awareness among the public. This program is aimed at further strengthening the relations between the ministry and the media,” he added.
