Hayya Fan Zone spices up party with live international music

Doha: From today, December 7 to 12, Hayya Fan Zone will be hosting a spectacular showcase of musical performances from all over the world, celebrating the international presence and spirit of the past month. 

“We wanted our non-match days to be a true celebration of the diversity of music and performance. We’ve witnessed how crowds from anywhere find common roots through song and dance, and the shows we have coming up for this week will truly bring people together,” said Hayya Fan Zone General Manager, Rabih Karam, whose local events company, Gravity Events, is hosting and operating the Hayya Fan Zone.

From December 7-10, 4.30pm to 6pm, you can catch the last four performances of the spectacular ice show, Sleeping Beauty: Legend of Two Kingdoms, featuring international figure skating stars. This breathtaking show will leave kids and adults speechless. Tickets for the ice show are available online or at the door: QR300 per ticket.

Tickets cost QR50 without a Hayya card, and QR40 for Hayya card holders.

Events on the main stage include the following line-up: At 6pm on December 7, 8, 11, and 12, international reggae band Arny & d’Army take to the stage for an original performance. 

Arny & d’Army brings a unique package of invigorating music with deep roots sound. This group of talented global musicians mix soul, reggae, ska, rock and pop to deliver peace, fun, enlightenment and unity to the globe through music.

At 8pm on Dec 7,8, 11, and 12, Showtime Beirut, a variety show of the best of East meets West will dazzle the audience. Part one will include live performances from Arabic sensation Ziad Malek, who brings classic Arabic hits with a style and flair unlike any other. Part two will feature Brazilian-Lebanese star Morena Zwen, a singer, dancer and showstopper with all the moves! Part three is a special Goldies Show set with Anthony Eid, setting a suave and jazzy mood for the throwback you’ve been missing. 

International DJ Georgia Mos will also be spinning tunes late into the night. This global DJ has spent decades cultivating her passion for DJing and electronic music. She brings the best of Italy and Europe to the Hayya Fan Zone stage to keep the party rolling and the crowds grooving.  This international musical celebration will also feature top local performers and bands such as the group Rayes Watar, an Arabic Tarab band with a phenomenal presence, Latin Sound, a local trio spinning the best Latin hits. 

 Hayya Fan Zone is located at Lusail South Promenade. It opens from 12pm to 1am daily and will run until December 18.
