Hamad International Airport yesterday announced its revised parking fees for short term and long term parking. Under the new fee structure which will be enforced from June 22nd 2014 long term car parking will be free for passengers and visitors, hoever they will be charged for the short-term parking.
The first 30 minutes of parking is absolutely free and the first hour will be charged at QR5 as per the information from HIA officials. The charge for every consecutive hours will be QR5 and a charge of QR.35 will be collected in case of lost parking tickets, which will be issued while entering the parking lot and have to be retained untill departure.
As parking demand increases HIA is opening a long-term parking lot which will reduce the congestions due to long term parking happening on the regular parking lots. All the payments have to be processed at the parking payments machine located at the bridge connecting the Passenger Terminal Complex and the short term car par.
All passengers who have parked prior to the implementation structure will be allowed to depart free and wont be charged any fees for parking.
Buses are provided for passenger convinience every15 minutes. HIA offers a seamless and convinient experince for all the passengers and visitors.
