The Ministry of Municipality and Environment, represented by the Public Parks Department, in cooperation with the Embassy of Haiti in Qatar, organised a tree plantation event, as part of ‘Plant Million Tree’ initiative. Ambassador of the Republic of Haiti to the State of Qatar H E Jean Marie Francois Guillaume participated in the event in the presence of a number of officials and engineers of the Public Parks Department, where a number of tree seedlings were planted that match the climatic conditions of Qatar’s environment. The Public Parks Department called on all parties, institutions and community members to contribute to the initiative to plant one million trees, because trees are of particular importance in preserving the ecosystem, and their positive repercussions on human health and quality of life.
