General Cleanliness Department removes 74,902 tonnes waste during January

The General Cleanliness Department in the Public Services Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Municipality removed 74,902 tonnes of waste during January. According to an official press statement from the ministry, these included household, construction and solid waste. Also, the department removed 27,296 tonnes of random dumping waste. 6,271 damaged tires, 35 neglected directional panels, 766 dead animals, 306 abandoned vehicles were removed and 187 violations of the Public Hygiene Law were issued. The department also executed 1,626 requests for public service while 612 new waste containers were placed and 15,775 containers were washed.
