FM meets heads of Lebanese parties and parliamentary blocs

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani met separately in Beirut on Tuesday with the head of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc in the Lebanese Parliament, MP Mohamed Raad, head of the Change and Reform Bloc in the Lebanese Parliament Gebran Bassil, head of the Progressive Socialist Party Walid Jumblatt, head of the Lebanese Forces Party Samir Geagea, head of Kataeb Party Sheikh Sami Gemayel, and the head of Marada Movement Suleiman Frangieh. During the meetings, HE Sheikh Mohamed offered the condolences of the government and people of Qatar on the victims of the explosion which took place in Beirut Port, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.


HE the deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs was briefed on the opinions of the heads of the parties and parliamentary blocs on the various Lebanese issues.

In this context, he stressed the need to work to achieve the national unity during the next stage in order to uphold the interest of the Lebanese people, wishing them success in forming a government that fulfill the demands and aspirations of the people.

For their part, the heads of the parties and parliamentary blocs praised the positions of Qatar in support of Lebanon, and appreciated its rapid response to help the Lebanese in the wake of Beirut Port explosion.
