FIFA launches Qatar 2022 ticketing application; counter sales to begin tomorrow

Doha: FIFA announced the launch of a new ticketing application that is available for Apple and Android users, at the Google Play and App Store, for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

The FIFA World Cup 2022 Tickets app will allow users access to tickets, change their information and send them to others with ease.

Counter sales of physical tickets will also begin tomorrow, October 18, at first of the two ticketing centres that will open in Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC).

Chief Operating Officer FIFA World Cup, Colin Smith, made these announcement at 'One Month To Go' press conference in Doha today.

Smith said that, "For those fans who have bought the tickets, you will receive an email this week with information on how to download the ticketing app and therefore how to access your mobile tickets." He further clarified that mobile tickets are separate from Hayya Card and both are required to enter the stadium.

Smith added that physical tickets will be available from tomorrow, October 18, at first of the two ticketing centers that will open at DECC. "This is where fans can seek assistance if they have bought tickets or if they wish to purchase tickets for matches which are still available," he said.

The press conference was also attended by Supreme Committee for Delivery &Legacy Director General, Eng. Yasir Al Jamal, and Qatar 2022 Chief Executive Officer, Nasser Al Khater. It was held to discuss operational updates for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
