The 11th International Falcons and Hunting Festival Marmi 2020 concluded at Sabkat Marmi, the Sealine area, Friday evening in the presence of the President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al-Thani as well as a number of their excellencies Sheikhs and ministers, representatives of diplomatic missions to the state, guests from friendly Arab and foreign countries, a large number of the public, falconers, and mediapersons.
HE Sheikh Joaan honoured the winners of the festival tournaments that started on January 1. The festival was organised by Qatar Al Qannas Society aimed at promoting the preservation of wildlife, protection of falcons and maintaining falconry as an important aspect of Qatari tradition passed from one generation to another.
