Doha: Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced that exit permits for expatriate workers to leave the country will be issued free of charge.
Moreover, the whole transaction will go online and there will not be any printed receipt.
Exit permits for Qatari minors from guardians also will be free of charge and done online.
Ministry of interior explained in a statement today that this service can be availed through Metrash 2, Ministry of Interior website or Hukoomi website.
This new development comes as part of Ministry's effort to make travel of citizens and expatriates easier.
As per MoI website those who are on personal sponsorship needed to pay QR 10 for each exit permit.
Those who are on a company or organization sponsorship also pays QR 10 for each exit permit.
