Education Ministry issues registration policy for government schools

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has issued registration policy for the students in government schools for the academic year 2020-21. The registration of fresh students will be online in government schools operating in Doha and outer areas.

The expatriate children of government employees are only entitled to apply for registration in government schools, the Ministry has shared the registration policy on its social site.

The fresh students for all grades of government schools will register online as per the geographical location of their homes from schools and vacancies.

Qatari students will register from May 3 to June 18, 2020. Children of Qatari women will register from May 17 to June 28, 2020.

Children of other GCC nationals will apply from June 7 to 11, 2020 and students from other nationalities can apply for registration from June 14 to 18, 2020.

The registration of students in specialized and technical schools will be through schools as per the conditions of enrollment mentioned in the policy of acceptance and registration approved by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

The registration in specilised and technical schools will be conducted at schools following all preventive and precautionary measures.

The students of all nationalities are allowed to register in specilised and technical schools as per the e n r o l l m e n t p o l i c y in government schools. The registration will be made from May 3 to 18, 2020.

The children of expatriates working with private sector or semi-governmental sector are required to produce letter of exception from the department concerned at the Ministry for the academic year 2020-21 to get admission in government schools.

The schools operating out of Doha are required to follow the clauses mentioned in the circular No. 4 regarding registration of the children of expatriates working in private sector residing in villages and remote areas. The schools will receive the health file of fresh students by the beginning of the academic year 2020-21 to ensure the health and fitness of the students.
