DI opens admission for the academic year 2023-2024 for Master and Doctoral Studies

Admission, Registration and Student Services Department in DI has announced opening the online admission for all new students for the Masters and PhD programs ( 2023 – 2024 ) starting from Thursday  1st  September, 2022 until 20th January, 2023.

DI is offering 8 programs for PhD studies under the School of Social Sciences and Humanities and the School of Economics, Administration, and Public Policy and they include: (Development Economics, Public Administration, Politics and International Relations, Linguistics and Arabic Lexicography, History, Sociology, Media Studies and Critical Security Studies.).

While applicants can apply for one of the following 18 Masters programs in the school of Social Sciences and Humanities: (Philosophy, History, Sociology and Anthropology, Politics and International Relations, Journalism, Media Studies, Linguistics and Arabic Lexicography, Comparative Literature, Conflict Management and Humanitarian Action, Critical Security Studies, Human Rights, Social Work, Clinical and Social Psychology). In addition to the following Masters programs under the School of Economics, Administration, and Public Policy: Public Administration, Public Policy, Development Economics, Executive Master for Public Administration, EMBA/EMPA Dual Degree Master and the Executive Master in Diplomatic Studies and International Cooperation.

Dr Mohamed Elnawawy, Director of the Board of Doctoral Studies, asserted that admission into DI PhD Program depends on the principles of competition of academic merits, and following best practice in the field of Students’ admission, pointing out that 4 students have been accepted in the first cohort of PhD Students with two Qatari Students, one resident student and one international student from Switzerland.

Ms Nasema Abdeen, Director of Admissions, Registration and Student Services, has clarified that applying for admission is done through submitting a filled out electronic application on DI’s official website, which will be open on the 1st of September 2022 so qualified students can apply. She has pointed out that Doha Institute aims to attract distinguished students in academics and research who have a great command of both Arabic and English.

It is worth mentioning that DI provides various scholarships like: Tamim Scholarship which is based on merit and academic excellence and is dedicated to the most distinguished students. Also, Sanad Scholarship which is based on financial needs of the students and is open for all students.
