Ashghal will remove the existing eastbound diversion in Dukhan between Al Wajba Bridge and Old Bani Hajer Roundabout shifting the traffic onto the carriageway.
The detour, designed in collaboration with the General Directorate of traffic, will be in place for two months from Friday to facilitate the construction of service roads, utilities and landscaping of Khalifa Avenue.
During the diversion, motorists coming from Dukhan to Doha can use the carriageway in place of the existing diversion (as illustrated on the map). Travellers heading for Al Rayyan can use the New Al Rayyan Street on the right after Al Wajba Bridge.
Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the detour. Road users have been urged to abide by the new speed limit of 50kph, and follow the road signs to ensure safety.
