Department of Meteorology warns of thundery rain associated with strong wind

Weather inshore until 6 pm on Monday will be hazy to misty at places at first becomes relatively hot daytime and partly cloudy with chance of scattered rain at places at times, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report.

Offshore will be hazy and partly cloudy to cloudy with chance of scattered rain maybe thundery at places, the report added, warning of thundery rain at places associated with sudden strong wind and high sea.

Wind inshore will be variable less than 05 knot at first becomes northeasterly to southeasterly 05 to 15 knot, gusting to 20 knot at places daytime.

Offshore, it will be mainly southeasterly 05 to 15 knot, gusting to 25 knot with thundery rain.

Visibility will be 4 to 9/3 kilometre or less at places at first.

Sea state inshore will be 1 to 3 feet, rises to 4 feet at times, while offshore it will be 2 to 4 feet rises to 8 feet with thundery rain.
