Doha: The Maritime Customs Department foiled attempt to smuggle hashish into the country.
Hashish was found stuffed inside iron pieces and hidden under the engine of a refrigerator truck.
The Customs department shared a video of the seizure on Twitter.
The authorities have been issuing continuous warnings against carrying illegal substances into the country.
Customs officers are provided with all means of support including the latest devices and continuous training to read the body language of passengers and be aware of the latest methods followed by smugglers.
