The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) has disinfected 12 million square meter areas from street 1 to 32 in the Industrial Area within less than two days.
The disinfection drive was launched by MME in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health, Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) and Public Works Authority (Ashghal).
Ten teams comprising with 57 vehicles and 89 individuals were involved to complete the disinfection drive in record time, MME tweeted yesterday sharing video footage of the operation.
The MME in coordination with the services departments of the municipalities, mechanical department and general cleanliness department mobilized all resources to make the operation successful.
The drive aimed to ensure the health and safety of the residents of the Industrial Area under the preventive and precautionary measures which are being taken to curb the spread of COVID-19.
