The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a four-hour overnight closure (from 1am to 5am) on Al Shamal Rd towards the north, between Al Gharrafa (Immigration) Interchange and Duhail Interchange, will be in place over a two-week period along with a closure on Al Shamal Road towards Doha between Umm Lekhba Interchange and Al Gharrafa Interchange. The closure starts on Thursday and continues until November 25.
During the closure, drivers heading north can turn right at Al Gharrafa Interchange onto Khalifa Street, then go left onto Jasim Bin Hamad Street towards Al Khafji Street and turn left at Jelaia Intersection towards Duhail Interchange and Al Shamal Road, Ashghal said on Twitter. Road users heading for Doha can turn right at Duhail Interchange on to Al Gharraf Street and Khalifa Street. Traffic will be open to road users heading for Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor and Al Markhiya Street at Umm Lekhba Interchange. The closure will be implemented in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
